The Columbus Literary Awards are given out biennially, please check back in 2009 for more information.

The Columbus Literary Awards recognize the most outstanding literary works produced by Franklin County writers in the genres of fiction, nonfiction and poetry. Each winner will receive $5,000 to encourage the creation of new work or the advancement of his or her writing career.

The Columbus Literary Awards is an ongoing program of GCAC, a not-for-profit organization that encourages and supports cultural development in the Columbus area. Thurber House assumed responsibility for the awards in 1997.

The winners of the 2007 Columbus Literary Awards were: Ann Brimacombe Elliot (nonfiction), Paul Von Hippel (fiction), and Matthew Ladd (poetry).
